The UBC Musical Theatre Troupe is ecstatic to announce our Spring 2022 musical: A Chorus Line!
Seventeen Broadway dancers audition to be a part of the chorus for a Broadway show. As the show progresses, each one exposes their individuality and opens up to the choreographer and to the audience about what brought them here. Cassie, an ex-star who needs a job, Kristine, who can’t sing, and Mike, a tap dancer, are just a few individuals who tell us about their lives as they learn the finale number.
This production will run March 19th-20th and 25th-26th 2022 at the Norman Rothstein Theatre for a total of six performances.
The Creative Team will run A Chorus Line themed workshops in the fall. This is a great opportunity to prepare for your audition, learn more about the show, and push yourself creatively. All are invited to these workshops, however, participation the fall does not guarantee a spot in the cast, crew, or band, come auditions in January.
Workshops will run on Wednesdays (5-9pm) and Saturdays (10am-4pm) from September 15th (TBC) to December 4th. Casting will take place in January with rehearsals in the spring also taking place on Wednesdays and Saturdays through our performances in March.
